Len was included in the Will of BENJAMIN BENONI BOATWRIGHT documented in the Powhatan County Will Book 5, 1815 - 1819, among other inventories, 1 negro slave, _Len, was listed as part of Benjamin Boatwright's Appraisement; he was valued at $500. The same will also lists his wife, Grace and their two oldest sons, Archer, valued at $200 and Daniel, valued at $150.

Grace was included in the Will of BENJAMIN BENONI BOATWRIGHT documented in the Powhatan County Will Book 5, 1815 - 1819, among other inventories, 1 negro woman slave, Grace, was listed as part of Benjamin Boatwright's Appraisement; she was valued at $300. The same will also lists her husband, Len and their two oldest sons, Archer, valued at $200 and Daniel, valued at $150.

Benjamin's wife Elizabeth Blackburn Boatwright, listed the birth dates of each of Grace's children on a page in the family bible, opposite the page on which Benjamin and Elizabeth's children are listed.

Benjamin Boatwright died in 1816 in Powhatan County, Virginia. Elizabeth Boatwright, her children and slaves, including Lennie, Grace and their children, moved to Garrard and Madison Counties, Kentucky.
