RITA - James Boatwright, 98, of Rita, Logan County, died Oct. 22, 1999, in Logan General Hospital after a short illness.

He was a retired miner with 60 years' service and a member of the UMW. He was a 75-year resident of Logan County.

Surviving: sons, Charles of Kansas City, Mo., Millard of Ferrell, Pa., Edward of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Dorothy Reed, Lennie Woods, Mabel Boatwright and Beverly Gibbs, all of Columbus, Nikki Boatwright of Rita; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pond Funeral Home, Logan, is in charge of arrangements.
