James Boatwright Plantation - Cumberland County, Virginia
The James Boatwright Plantation is located directly across the James River from Boatwright's Island. The original house, built ca 1780, is still standing. A cemetery is located about 100 yards north east of the house in a grove of trees. The graves are marked with stones, no names visable.

plantation is in the center, Daniel Boatwright plantation is at the lower left.
A half mile down the road from the James Boatwright house is the remains (chimney to the right and behind the large Oak tree) of another house.
