Funeral services for Alice Hazel Boatright, 87, of Tarrant will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the Revs. Randy Sellers and Hobert Thomas officiating, with burial in Welti Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Boatright died Sunday, Sept. 12 in Gadsden. She was born in Cullman County on June 4, 1917, to Alfred and Minnie Lee Stewart Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ollie Boatright.
Survivors include four daughters, Gayle Chambers of Gadsden, Dean Gentry of Columbiana, Judy Mason of Athens and Alice Smith of Birmingham; a brother, Luther Tucker of Gardendale; a sister, Mary Jo Rice of Bessemer; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday.

Funeral services for John William “Bill” Boatright of Hanceville will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dudley Brock and Don Froelich officiating, with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boatright died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Woodland Medical Center. Grandad Bill was born on June 1, 1920, in Cullman County to William Jordan and Catherine Hamm Boatright. He was a farmer and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 55 years, Ruby Cone Boatright; three brothers, Roy Boatright, Ollie Boatright and Elbert Boatright; and two sisters, Eva Folds and Frances Mauro.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny (Ruth) Boatright and Andy (Cindy) Boatright; a daughter, Joan (Joe) Walker; three grandchildren, Lesley (Lisa) Walker, Brandi (J.C.) Corneglio and John LaWayne Walker; a great-grandson, John Alex Corneglio IV; two sisters, Lorene Mann and Dorothy Culwell; a brother, Aubrey (Audrey) Boatright; caregiver, Tim McDowell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Aubrey Cecil Boatright, 85, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Randy Sellers and Hobert Thomas officiating, with interment with military honors in Welti Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Boatright passed away Saturday, May 16, at Hanceville Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Cullman County to William Jordan and Mimi Katherine Hamm Boatright. He worked for General Motors for 31 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Willa Dean Boatright; a son, Gregory Lee Boatright; four brothers, Ollie, Bill, Roy and Elbert Boatright; two sisters, Eva Folds and Francis Marro; and a granddaughter, Lisa Jane Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Boatright; two sons, Victor Lynn Boatright of Michigan and Alann Jordan (Sharon) Boatright of Colorado; a daughter, Sheila Kaye Boatright of Hanceville; two stepchildren, Beverly Grace Smith of Ohio and David (Diane) Lump of Spanish Fort; two sisters, Lorene Mann of Hanceville and Dorothy Culwell of Hanceville; 11 grandchildren, Christopher (Jaime) Boatright, Jeremy Boatright, Justin (Vicky) Boatright, Shannon (Andre) Gates, Micah Boatright, Vanessa (Scott) James, Kressa Murphree, Tonya (Britt) Banks, Justin Lump, Scott Lump and Julie Smith; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Boatright, Kaylynn Boatright and Thomas Boatright; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Margaret Ruth Baker Boatright, 81, of Hanceville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006 at Center Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Delbert Freeman officiating. Interment will be at Center Hill Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boatright died Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 15, 1925, to Frances Isabelle Barfoot and Albert Ross Baker on a farm in the Walter Community. She was the youngest of seven children. She was saved at a young age at Walter Baptist Church, where she attended regularly. She attended school at Walter and graduated there with her ninth-grade class. Margaret worked hard on the farm and learned to be a homemaker and wonderful cooking skills from her mother.
On Aug. 9, 1947, she married her best friend, Oscar Woodrow Boatright. They shared a wonderful home and were blessed with three children: two daughters, Ramona Jesse and Marilyn Shockley, both of Center Hill; and a son, Ronald Boatright of Johnson Crossing; four grandchildren: Michelle, Rich, Blake and Garren; and two great grandchildren, Aaron and Lacey. Mrs. Boatright is also survived by a brother, Buford “Doc” Baker of Attalla.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Boatright; her parents, Albert Ross and Frances Isabelle (Barfoot) Baker; four brothers, Arthur, Eric, Alvin and Willard Baker; and a sister, Gertie Hudson.
She had lived in the Center Hill Community for many years. She was an active member of the Center Hill Baptist Church, Women on Mission, sunday school and church training, She also enjoyed attending the Senior Citizens meeting at Center Hill.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a great sense of adventure, and will be affectionately remembered for all the times we have shared together.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
