His sisters were Liza (Elizabeth) Chandler and Annie Hall. His brother was Lemuel (buried at Kiamichi cemetery an his half brother was Frank Boatright.
His brother, Charlie Boatright, had a boy named Milton that had a refrigeration repair service at the crossroads east of McAlester.

Mrs. Julia Bray, 81, of Ozark, died early Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Connelly Nursing Home in Springfield after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of the Ozark and Sparta communities, and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the McCracken community. She is survived by a foster daughter, Mrs. Leta Tindle, Ozark; three brothers, Jim Boatwright, Springfield, Lon Boatwright, Ozark, and Charles Boatwright, Glascow, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Burnett, Concordia, Kan., and Mrs. Anna Parks, Kansas City; two foster grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Harris Chapel. Dwayne Bray officiated and burial was in Linden Cemetery.

Building Razer Killed in Crash
Frank Boatwright, Former Christian Countian, Crushed by Falling Wall
Frank Boatwright, 38-year-old son of A. C. Boatwright of McCracken, was killed at Leavenworth, Kansas January 17, when the walls of a building he was helping raze, crashed, pinning him and another workman beneath the debris.
Mr. Boatwright lived at 3012 North 29th Street, Kansas City, Kansas and had been working on the razing project in Leavenworth for about six weeks. The work was being done by a Chicago wrecking concern.
The fellow workman, Charles Gunter of Kansas City, Missouri, was seriously injured. The building being razed was at the Soldier's Home and five partitions of the structure fell on the men.
Mr. Boatwright is survived by the widow, Mrs. Ruby Boatwright, five children, Audrey, Frances, Dona, Ruth and William, all of the home. The eldest is 16 and the youngest 5.
The body arrived in Ozark Wednesday. Funeral services were being held today, with burial in the Linden cemetery. The Chaffin Funeral Home was in charge.

Photo caption from newspaper: When the upright wall, in left photograph, was loosened yesterday afternoon preparatory to its removal by workmen tearing down the old hospital at the Veterans Administration Home, the five upright partitions, at right angles to the wall, tumbled on top of each other much as a falling stack of dominoes.
One man was killed and another was injured. The photograph at right shows where Franklyn Boatwright, injured fatally, was caught between the last of the partitians and the partially removed brick wall. Charles Gunter, in Cushing Memorial hospital for treatment of his injuries, was near Boatwright, but apparently escaped the full weight of the falling partitian.

Boatright, resident keeper of the Odd Fellows Lake property on the Campbell St. road Rt 5, Paris, was dead on arrival at a Paris Hospital, Thursday about 1 p.m. He apparently had suffered a heart attack at his residence. The funeral, Saturday at 3:30 p.m., will be conducted by Sister Virgie Temple at Gene Roden & Sons Chapel here. Interment to be made in Rockford Cemetery near Biardstown. Born October 24 , 1926, in Commanche County Texas, and moved to La Salle County Texas at the age of three months. He Graduated from Cotulla High School and served with the U.S. Army during World War 2. He became a resident of Dilley, Texas in 1952. He retired from Central Power and Light Company, and was a member of the Dilley First United Methodist Church.
God's gift of music to the world was an inspiration throughout his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman during the prime of his life, but as he became ill, his feelings toward animals turned to that of being protective and caring. Douglas' adoration for nature was only exceeded by the love for family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Wilhelmina Eudy of Lampasas, Texas; two sons and their wives, William Allen and Laura Boatwright of Cotulla, Texas and Ray and Rhanda Boatwright of Marble Falls, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Mark Mattingly of Oakalla, Texas; one sister, Alice Nicholson of Dilley, Texas; and six grandchildren, Brandi Denise Boatwright Liere of Franklin, Texas, Amanda Kay Boatwright of College Station, Texas, Brett Allen Boatwright of College Station, Texas, Storhm Miklet Remillard and Husband William of Killeen, Texas, Shade Marlei Mattingly of Oakalla, Texas, and Ronnie Douglas Boatwright of Marble Falls, Texas.
Services were held at 10:30 am Wed july 8th, 1992 in the First United Methodist Church with interment following at the Dilley cemetary.
